Arrow Speed Controls is the leading Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Integrator in North America. With over 20,000 successful applications to date, we are a trusted partner across the heavy industries. We engineer and assemble speed control equipment for a wide range of electric motor applications. In addition to VFD's, we also do DC drives, soft starts, servo controls and PLC systems.
Duration: May – August 2026 (approximately 12–16 weeks)

What you will be doing:
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Student to join our team for a summer internship. This role provides hands-on experience supporting engineering projects, working alongside experienced professionals, and gaining exposure to real-world industry practices.
This is an excellent opportunity for students looking to apply classroom knowledge in a practical setting and develop technical and professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with design, analysis, and testing activities
- Support ongoing engineering projects and technical documentation
- Conduct research, data collection, and performance analysis
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas
- Prepare reports, drawings, and presentations as required
- Follow company safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical, Computer Science, Software, or related Engineering field
- Completed at least 2 years of study
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CAD, MATLAB, Excel, programming languages, etc.)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
Preferred Skills (Asset but Not Required)
- Previous internship or co-op experience
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Experience with project management tools
